The Important bits
What keeps your money safe
Financial advice comes with rules, safeguards, and paperwork. The regulators (ASIC) want you to read it and so do we. These documents explain the fine print of advice: who we are, how we’re licensed, what we can and can’t do, and the standards we follow. They’re designed to protect you — and to show that we’re credible, qualified, and accountable. At Antipodean Advisory, we see that as a good thing. We want you to understand how we work, how advice is delivered, and what it means for your finances. If something doesn’t make sense, we’d rather you ask questions than sign anything you’re unsure about.
Key documents

Privacy Policy
how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
Complaint Policy
what to do if something goes wrong and how we resolve it.

Licensed by
Antipodean Advisory — we hold our own Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL).
Primary adviser
Michael Clapham, Principal Adviser and Director of Antipodean Advisory.
Why self-licensed?
Because we wanted autonomy, integrity and control.
Being self-licensed means we’re not tied to a big institution’s product list. We set our own service standards, build solutions using our expertise, and put client needs first.
What it means for you
Most financial advisers in Australia operate under a larger dealer group. We chose a different path — Antipodean Advisory holds its own Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL).
To gain approval from ASIC, we had to demonstrate:
- Strong financial capacity and compliance systems
- Education, experience, and a clean regulatory history
- Policies for complaints, conflicts of interest, risk management, and professional indemnity insurance
- Pass ongoing audits and reporting to maintain standards
In short: we’ve been through the checks, balances, and approvals to run our own licence. That means we answer directly to ASIC and take full responsibility for the quality of every piece of advice we give.
For you, it means advice that’s independent of big institutions — delivered with the integrity, flexibility, and accountability you deserve.
